I would like to thank you for taking your time to learn more about the D.E.T.A.I.N.™ system that I created.  In my 16 years as an instructor, I have been fortunate enough to work with many law enforcement and military personnel from different organizations all over the world. Some of these organizations include; the Secret Service, DEA, CIA, FBI, Special Operations Groups, Air Marshals, municipal, corrections, as well as private/personal bodyguards and protection teams.  This listing is not given out of arrogance.  Rather, I hope to illustrate to you that I have dedicated much of my time and energy to training law enforcement, military personnel, and their respective organizations, because I believe they are a vital piece of the safety puzzle in our world today.

Having worked with so many different personalities, individuals and organizations, I have learned a lot about placing a non-compliant assailant in handcuffs.  I watched.  I asked.  I experimented.  But most importantly, I listened.

I listened to those that I have trained who have had to place non-compliant aggressors in handcuffs and I took all of their tips, ideas and suggestions to heart.  By incorporating all of the physical and mental feedback from the vast array of my clients over the course of nearly two decades, and combining that with my experience as a close-quarter combat (CQC) instructor, I created the D.E.T.A.I.N.™ system.

The D.E.T.A.I.N.™ system is a very methodical, systematic approach on how to apprehend non-compliant individuals safely and effectively.  The techniques of the D.E.T.A.I.N.™ system rely heavily on the proper understanding and application of body mechanics and leverage.  Once these concepts are understood and applied, the efficiency of the detaining individual(s) will skyrocket, along with their personal safety in and out of those situations, both on and off the job.  CQC systems that depend on a particular physical attribute like speed, flexibility, strength or power are flawed.  The techniques from the D.E.T.A.I.N.™ system have zero physical requirements. Since the techniques are all leverage based, no one is too small and no aggressor is too big for this unique approach.

I am excited about this system and I know that it will change your entire outlook on CQC and non-compliant apprehension procedures.  This system is effective, efficient and will greatly enhance or compliment your current skill sets.  Furthermore, it will teach you new techniques that will simply amaze you.  I have received incredible feedback on my system which is why I have decided to make D.E.T.A.I.N.™ available for all law enforcement, military personnel, and their respective organizations around the world.
